Comic-style fight playout

2026-04-16

The fight playout — the playback you see after both sides lock in their moves — has been completely rebuilt. Instead of stepping through text-based results, the game now plays a comic-style banner sequence with character images, stat bars, and panel transitions.

Each step zooms into the action: attackers and defenders appear on screen with health and energy bars that animate in real time. Energy recovery kicks in at the end of each side's turn, shown with a dedicated recovery image so the flow reads clearly.

Auto-skip is in, so you can let the whole sequence play out hands-free or tap through manually. Enemy images now use standardized art rather than placeholders, and the image flipping keeps character orientation consistent across panels.

Tests were added covering stat bar rendering, color tier thresholds, and playback step data to make sure the new system holds up as content scales.
