Max health gets a range modifier; Rose Lake and Down the Gorge swap in a Fire Wraith and a new Iron Brute; story map gets a starfield
22.06.2026
Max health for both heroes and enemies now adds a range modifier on top of the school modifier: short range gets +1, mid range gets 0, long range gets -1. Enemies apply their own distance — the same-school hero's range cancels out — and energy continues to mirror the same-school hero 1:1, so the range layer only touches health. Distance vocabulary across the game also standardizes to short, mid, long, instead of the old mix where enemies used 'close' and heroes used 'short' for the same thing.
Rose Lake's first fight swaps one Fire Ghoul for a Fire Wraith, so the lineup is now a Fire Wraith and an Earth-school enemy. Down the Gorge's first fight swaps one Iron Strider for a new Iron Brute — a short-range Metal-school brute, the first of its kind in the roster. The Iron Brute reuses the existing brute body of art and the existing short-range brute spell set, so the new fight composition lands without new art needing to ship.
The story map used to render against a flat-color placeholder background. It now uses the same starfield background that already showed elsewhere, sized to the full map surface.
The quest-received popup also picks up the reward preview block from the quest-completed popup, so the reward on offer is visible the moment a quest comes in — no more accepting and then finding out what was on the table.
