Spells look like their element now
25.07.2026
Spell casts have their own look now. When a hero casts, the element leaves the caster, travels to each cell the spell hits, and lands with an elemental burst where a unit is actually standing — a real fireball and explosion for fire, and matching effects for earth, metal, air, and water. Enemy casts get the same treatment, aimed back the other way. A few things still use the older sparkle for now: chain hits, the planning preview, and the couple of spell types that don't have their own effect built yet.
Every Chapter 1 enemy now fights with one of those five elements, so you'll see the new casts across the whole opening. And when someone speaks mid-fight, they hold their attack or hit pose while the line shows instead of snapping straight back to a neutral stance — small thing, but the banter reads better for it.
