Loading screens between locations now show chapter art and lore
16.08.2026
The moment between two locations — and the beat while a gated screen gets itself ready — is a proper loading screen now. The chapter's own art sits at the bottom against a starfield, a hand-inked line of lore reads across the middle, and the spells from that chapter's school drift across the top as the progress indicator. There are a few of these per chapter, and it avoids repeating the one you just saw, so the wait looks a little different each time.
They come in cleanly, too. The art fades in once it's fully loaded rather than painting itself in piece by piece, and each screen holds on long enough to actually read its lore line before it lifts. (The very first launch still opens on a plain spinner while everything warms up.)
And in a walking fight, an enemy you take down now settles into a knocked-out pose.
