Long play sessions no longer creep toward a freeze

23.08.2026

If you sat down for a long session, the game would gradually use up more and more memory the longer you played — mostly around entering and leaving fights — until, after roughly two hours, it slowed to a crawl and eventually froze or crashed. Each fight had been quietly leaving a pile of drawing work behind that never got cleaned up. That's fixed: a fight now releases what it used when you leave it, so instead of leftovers stacking up battle after battle there's next to nothing, and a long run of fights no longer marches the game toward a freeze.

Dart also gets his second strength upgrade much sooner. His tier-two strength spell, Ice, used to be locked away deep in the temple, so it only came within reach near the very end of the chapter — long after every other hero had their second strength upgrade in hand. Now it opens the moment you've crafted Frost, the same way Tara's second strength spell has always worked.
