When a knocked-out hero blocks a battle, the game now tells you why
17.10.2026
When a hero in your party has been knocked out, you can't take them into a battle — but until now the game often didn't say so. Starting a battle from the map just closed the screen without a word: on web, itch and Steam there was no message at all, and even on iPhone and iPad the warning could get swallowed before you saw it. Now, whether you hit it from the map or from the party screen, a popup comes up that names the knocked-out hero and makes clear that's why you can't head in yet.
Inside the party screen the same silence happened the other way around: tapping a hero who's down did nothing, with no hint as to why they couldn't be picked. Now tapping them brings up that same popup naming them, and when a knocked-out hero leaves your party a member short, the line explaining it names who's out.
Two smaller party-screen fixes came along with it. The party screen no longer closes out from under you while it's still setting up your battle, and if the battle can't be started after all, the reason now shows right there on the screen instead of flashing as a stray error line behind the menu.
